Non Executive - Denis O'Brien

Irish businessman Denis O'Brien joined IRUPA in September 2008 in a Non-Executive capacity. He performs an advisory role lending his expertise across a range of business issues. In addition he is particularly interested in the post playing careers of professional rugby players and how they can develop their skills on retirement.

Denis has been a member of Wanderers RFC for many years and is an avid Irish rugby supporter. He is one of Ireland's leading international entrepreneurs with extensive telecoms, radio, property, aircraft leasing, golf and other leisure sector interests. The Digicel Group which he founded in 2001 is one of the fastest growing telecommunications companies in the world with operations in 31 countries in the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific.
