Welcome to IRUPA
IRUPA Player Services Programme

Headed by Player Services Advisor Hamish Adams, the Player Services Programme (PSP) commenced in February 2008 and is a joint project with the IRFU.  In short the aim of the PSP is to assist all our members to help them achieve a sport/life balance during their careers and ultimately to make the transition out of professional rugby as smooth as possible when that time comes.

Available to all members, the programme is offered on a one to one basis in the strictest of confidence. The PSP provides consistent services nationally which will assist rugby players to undertake educational, vocational and personal development opportunities whilst pursuing and achieving excellence in professional rugby.  Some of the areas covered by the Player Services Programme include;

Sourcing flexible Tertiary and Trade Education, Personal & Professional Development, Exploring future career options, Structured work placements, Development of Business ideas, Player Support Networks, Financial Management & Planning, Time Management skills, Goal Setting skills and Transitional support (injury & relocation).
